About

"History in the wider sense is all that has happened, not merely all the phenomena of human life, but those of the natural world as well. It includes everything that undergoes change; and as modern science has shown that there is nothing absolutely static, therefore the whole universe, and every part of it, has its history."

-Encyclopædia Britannica, Eleventh Edition (1911)

EiH in a Nutshell

I love history, and I'm a knowledge junkie; I love learning new things, especially the seemingly trivial or whimsical stuff. I was a history major in college, but entered the wonderful world of information technology to pay the bills. Thankfully, that has given me the talent to be able to undertake a project like this, combining my love of history with my addiction to the Internet. Along with history, I enjoy random trivia (hence the focus on everything) and technology, especially when it comes to the progress of humanity.  My mission for this site is to spread knowledge like a virus in order to infect the world with intelligence.

Getting Started

EiH has been around for about a year and a half now, so there should be plenty of stuff to keep you occupied. You can find the most popular posts, and some of my favorite websites if you scroll to the bottom. If you are looking for something in particular, feel free to use the search function on the right. Also, I'm always looking for guest writers with fresh ideas, so if you'd ever like to guest post, you can find the guidelines on the Write for EiH page.

Stay Connected

You can connect with EiH in a myriad number of ways, including Twitter, Facebook, on your mobile phone, and on your Amazon Kindle. If you're more of a traditionalist, you can subscribe to EiH via email or RSS.

5 Random Things About Tamahome Jenkins

  1. I'm a stay at home dad trying to be the Internet's version of Donald Trump (although right about now, I'll settle for being the web's version of a successful dry cleaning operation).
  2. Politically, I lean left.
  3. Physically, I lean right.
  4. I prefer white gadgets versus black, silver, or gray.
  5. I'm currently boycotting iDevices until Apple acknowledges that removable batteries are not a sign of poor design.

Ultimately, in the words of those indomitable Animals, "I'm just a soul whose intentions are good."
